The 2025-26 Senior Girls Basketball season will be remembered as one of the most significant in program history.

First Year Success in a New Division
In our first year competing at the AAA level, this group embraced the challenge from day one. They committed to playing a high-level schedule all season long, testing themselves against top competition and refusing to take the easy road. That commitment paid off in a major way.
The Lightning captured the Eastern Valley Athletic Association Championship – a tremendous accomplishment in our inaugural AAA campaign. Along the way, the team battled adversity, navigating key injuries that could have derailed their season. Instead, they grew stronger, deeper, and more united.

Their resilience carried them all the way to the Provincial Championship Final, where they finished an incredible second in the province – a testament to their character, toughness, and belief in one another.
Individually, several players were recognized for their outstanding performances:
- Georgia Van Der Waarde – 1st Team All-Star
- Sorell Lenz – 1st Team All-Star
- Gaby Vis – Defensive Player of the Tournament

Behind the bench, Coach Danielle Gardner did an exceptional job guiding this team through new territory with poise and vision. Her leadership, preparation, and belief in her players were instrumental in this historic season.
This team set a new standard for Senior Girls Basketball, proving that we belong at the AAA level and that our best basketball is still ahead.
An unforgettable season. A united team. A Lightning Legacy established.
