JOB POSTING 2024.013 HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL (1.0 FTE)
JOB POSTING 2024.012 HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS DIRECTOR (0.571 FTE)
JOB POSTING 2024.011 INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM DIRECTOR (1.0 FTE)
Patrick Lee, High School Assistant Principal, has let us know that he will be resigning his position at the end of this school year. We are excited for Pat and his family as he explores a new leadership opportunity he has been offered in the Surrey School District. We are thankful for the three years of leadership he invested at Langley Christian. Pat gifted us with his passion for assessment, instructional excellence and a foundation of strong, inclusive relationships with staff and students. We appreciated his professionalism and thoughtful deliberation on our leadership team.
It is with some sadness that we have accepted Jon Mayan’s resignation from his duties as Director of Lightning Athletics at the high school campus. Jon will remain fully employed at LCS as a high school teacher and will mentor his incoming replacement. Jon feels the time is right to help the future athletic director learn the role and allow him more time to focus on some other priorities. We are indebted to Jon’s exceptional leadership, Christian discipleship and relational and organizational capacity over the past six years leading LCS through COVID disruptions and guiding LCS to a provincial reputation for excellence and service to the athletics community. Jon leaves this leadership role having an outstanding reputation in the BC School Sports community.
As we shared some weeks ago, Tanya Larosa is leaving her position as Director of the International Program to attend to her own family priorities. Tanya’s professionalism, relationships with external partners and her attention to detail coordinating our program were exemplary. We are now looking for someone with a vision for an international program that will enhance intercultural experiences for our students and navigate the changing reality of international education.
