With a new campus added this fall, there are some changes to parking, drop-off and pick-up routines.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and for taking responsibility to ensure all staff and students are protected and safe during drop-off and pick-up times each day. Please review directions for each of the key areas where we expect high traffic at peak times of the day.
Bussing
Bus drop-off (time) and pick-up (time) remains unchanged from last year. We will monitor how the new campus affects bussing access for all students, and will review this process in late September or early October to determine if changes are needed.
ELEMENTARY (K-5) DROP-oFF & PICK-UP
There are a limited number of parking spaces available during peak times of the day.
Please follow all posted signage and follow the direction of parking lot supervisors. No exceptions. Drivers who park in laneways or unauthorized spots, will have their vehicle description and license plate number recorded for follow up and possible consequences such as loss of privileges on campus.
Do not stop or park your vehicle in the drop-off/pick-up lane for any reason, at any time of the day.
228 STREET CROSS-WALK
This is the only permitted crossing for all students, including those going to the middle school panhandle entrance.
Please follow all posted signage and follow the direction of cross-walk supervisors. No exceptions. Failure to stop or follow instructions will result in an immediate report to the Langley RCMP for a motor vehicle ticketable offence.
SOUTHRIDGE PARKING LOT DROP-oFF & PICK-UP
For parents of children on multiple campuses, who also want to park their vehicle, we recommend using the Southridge parking lot.
Please follow all posted signage and follow the direction of parking lot supervisors. No exceptions. High school staff will be posted in the Southridge parking lot 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after school.
From time to time, Southridge is not available for parking due to movie rentals or church events. LCS will communicate this in advance to all parents through the On the Go weekly newsletter.
MIDDLE SCHOOL DROP-oFF & PICK-UP
The middle school is accessed from 228th street and is terminated by a small parking lot and roundabout drop off and pick up area.
The elementary campus is also accessible from the middle school campus by a short pathway.
There are approximately 50 additional parking stalls available on the pan handle off 228.
HIGH SCHOOL DROP-oFF & PICK-UP
Students may park in designated and assigned areas only. High school staff will supervise the parking lot and Southridge parking lot before and after school.
Parents may park in the limited number of visitor parking spots on campus, or use the adjacent Southridge parking lot.
