We are getting closer to our goal of $13,600,000. Construction of the new school started in December, so your one-time gift or pledge will be especially impactful at this time. Together, we can help ensure LCS sustains its 70 year old mission to equip students in a bold faith and confident sense of purpose to serve Christ.

At any time, past generations of LCS parents and board members could have said “No – we’re not willing to give and work toward expanding the mission of LCS.”
When my boys were in elementary school, there was no room for us at LCS. The buildings were only designed for 3 classes, or a maximum of about 75 students per grade. In 2014, the LCS Board decided to add some portables (the “Fort”) and expand enrollment, opening the door for families like mine and many of yours to attend LCS. This school has been truly transformative for our family as we have enjoyed the blessing of raising our three kids together with you. Today, like so many other LCS graduates, my boys are confident in their faith and well prepared to live a life of service after high school. Christian schools make a tremendous difference in the lives of families. We’re indebted to this school, its staff and all of the families who have contributed to this God-glorifying community.
But, we’re also aware that the buildings we have today are not sufficient for the needs of tomorrow. The middle school and high school campuses are too small for the cohorts of 100 kids per grade we have today – they’re cramped and short on spaces for our core pillars: athletics, arts, service and technology. So, it’s our turn to give so that together we can say “yes” to families in the future. (See: We Are Expanding Our Reach & Impact Again)
We are thankful for everyone who has helped to make what LCS is today. We are excited about all of YOU today who have lead our fundraising so far with generous gifts and pledges of all sizes.

All gifts or multi-year pledges over $1200 will be recognized with a plaque or brick on our Today Tomorrow Together Wall in the new middle school. Larger gifts are eligible for other forms of recognition as a way for us to thank you for your support. (Find out more about our Defined Gift Recognition Program.) We gave to the TTT campaign because we as a family have received so much community from being a part of Langley Christian school over the last 6 years. We felt inspired to give because we have seen first hand the benefits of generosity within the school community and the improvements that have come from others being generous. It was important for our family to be a part of this campaign not only for my children’s benefit, but knowing that the next generations of LCS will greatly be impacted by this addition. Somebody was generous years prior for my kids’ benefit, and we as a family hope to share those same desires.

1. Make a One-Time Donation
Give a single gift of any amount to support the campaign. Every contribution makes a difference. We can accept donations by credit card (with link), e-transfer (to djensen@langleychristian.com), pre authorized debit, cheques, and cash.
2. Multi-year Pledge
Make a multi-year pledge to spread your commitment over 2-4 years. Several LCS donors have made their commitment in this way. Email or call us to set up a gift agreement (lsmit@langleychristian.com).
3. Monthly Giving
Spread your donation over time by setting up a recurring gift. You can give monthly by adding a donation to your tuition payments or setting up a recurring auto withdrawal from your account. Even a small monthly contribution adds up.
4. Gifts of Securities
Donate stocks, mutual funds, or other securities. This is a tax-efficient way to give while maximizing your impact. We can help direct you to tools such as Canada Gives (https://canadagives.ca) and Givewise (https://www.givewise.ca), or we can help advise you on how to give in this way.
5. Giving from Your Tax Return
Consider setting aside a portion of your tax refund to support the campaign. This can be an easy way to give without affecting your regular budget and will still generate a charitable tax credit on next year’s tax return.
6. Sponsor or Attend a Fundraising Event
Consider joining us in any one of our annual fundraising events. This year our Diamonds and Denim Gala on May 2 provides an excellent opportunity to support the school at a fun-filled evening celebrating the 70th year of LCS. For more information reach out to Lisa Smit, our Director of Development, or visit https://www.langleychristian.com/gala/.
7. Legacy Giving
Consider including Langley Christian School in your estate planning to support future generations of students. If you are interested in this way of giving, please reach out to us to help you find someone qualified to help answer your questions. We are planning some information sessions in the coming months, so if you would like more information please reach out to us (lsmit@langleychristian.com).
We are open to hearing your wishes about how you would like your donation applied if you would like to contribute a gift in another way, such as supporting our tuition assistance fund and endowment, or giving to a specific program. If you want to explore other ideas, reach out to headofschool@langleychristian.com.
Justin Froelich – LCS PARENT
Giving and being generous to charitable organizations has always been a core value for me, instilled by my family from a young age. Growing up, I saw firsthand the impact of helping others and how even small acts of generosity can transform lives. It’s not just a biblical practice, It’s a belief that we all have a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of our communities — it’s about being part of something bigger, making a lasting difference, and continuing the legacy of compassion that my family has passed down.

Langley Christian School still remains true to the mission and vision for students to learn about their place in God’s world and their responsibility as image bearers of God to make a difference in the world now and in the future.
