THE ANNUAL LCS DINNER AND AUCTION, MAY 3

Thank you everyone who joined us for the online, or if you were one of the 200+ guests who joined us in person for the Annual LCS Dinner and Auction. This year’s event was the first time we have been able to join together for this gala event since March of 2020. We took the opportunity to share with you what we have been able to accomplish together for students at our school as a result of previous donations to the Impact and Innovation Fund.

The Impact and Innovation Fund was created by the Head of Schools in 2019 to raise funds for initiatives linked to the goals of the LCS Board Strategic Plan. Its purpose is to fund projects and provide resources that support our mission and vision, and to expand the reach and impact of Langley Christian School. With the support raised over the last few years we have enhanced our libraries and literacy resources, expanded course offerings in trades and technology, improved our facilities and made investments in initiatives aimed at ensuring our children receive the very best educational experience possible.

God continues to richly bless our school and we can see that as Langley grows, so too is the mission and vision for Christian education in our city expanding. As we begin a capital campaign in the coming months to support our three phase development plan, fundraising for the Impact and Innovation Fund will continue to help us to dream big about what happens inside the new facilities that we are adding.

Thanks to you, this year’s event raised $124,362 though the online and live auctions. With an amazing matching gift from the Stevenson Family Foundation announced during the evening, our final total will easily exceed well over $220,000 this year.

We are immeasurably thankful for everyone’s continued faith in and support of this school. Our unity in a common purpose of supporting Christian education, and the volunteers and generous contributions of parents and grandparents like you, is the strength that makes our school community unique in our community. We want to specifically thank Lisa Smit, Carey Bornn and the army of volunteers that planned the event and created such an amazing evening of connecting together.
