Music Arts Program
At Langley Christian School, the Music Arts program is an essential component of our school-wide K-12 Arts core pillar. We encourage and equip young musicians to value, enjoy, and connect to God’s gift of music, inspiring them to continually use their talents to impact and serve their families, churches, communities, and the world.

OUR STRATEGIC ROLE
To build a vibrant, thriving, and sustainable music program of bands, instrumental and vocal ensembles, worship teams, and music technology courses/clubs, that glorify God and serve as key places of community engagement & belonging in the arts at LCS.
Connect
- PURPOSEFULLY DISCIPLINED
We build resilience by showing up, performing often to grow confidence, and learning from each other.
- BIBLICAL DISCERNMENT
We boldly worship God through music, understanding how the Bible promotes music, and reflecting Christ in how we learn, create, and perform.
Thrive
- COURAGEOUSLY HOPEFUL
We create, explore, and express by trying new styles, composing, and fearlessly revealing emotion and meaning through music.
- SERVANT LEADERSHIP
We learn together and go further by collaborating across programs and sharing our gifts through trips, service, and performances.
Equip
- WORK WITH PURPOSE
We practice intelligently with focus, perform with passion and commitment, and lead like Christ by serving others. - GRACE-FILLED INTEGRITY
We joyfully inspire by letting our light shine, persevering in technique, and striving for beauty in all we do.
Soli Deo Gloria | To the Glory of God Alone
Hallelujah!
Praise God in his holy house of worship,
praise him under the open skies;
Praise him for his acts of power,
praise him for his magnificent greatness;
Praise with a blast on the trumpet,
praise by strumming soft strings;
Praise him with castanets and dance,
praise him with banjo and flute;
Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
Let every living, breathing creature praise God!
Hallelujah!
— Psalm 150:1-6 MSG

An Innovative, Collaborative Approach to Music Education
We are spearheading a new collaborative co-teaching model across our entire music program to maximize student engagement, learning, and growth. Our cross-campus team features four specialized music teaching roles, led collaboratively by five expert educators.
Under this model, all music teachers maintain co-teaching or extracurricular involvement beyond their main campus. Students in large, ensemble-based classes regularly receive individual and sectional support from more than one music teacher, drastically improving the teacher-to-student ratio and ensuring every young musician is seen, heard, and supported.
