From a school that officially opened its doors in 1955 with 17 students, to a school of over 1400, God has been faithful across generations and continued to expand the mission at Langley Christian School.
The story of a school with humble beginnings began in the consistory of the First Christian Reformed Church, but the school was always intended to be interdenominational.
This six-part mini-series traces God’s faithfulness across generations at Langley Christian School. It is a testimony to the faith of people in each generation to see the mission of LCS continue. Each episode in the series names a season, the risks taken, the people entrusted with the work, and God’s provision when outcomes were anything but guaranteed.
The story is told through three interwoven plotlines:
- A story of the sacrificial generosity and the seeds of faith sewn by the founders
- A story of loss and sadness, and how communities find faith together
- A story of transformational hope and a big kingdom vision
In our series, you’ll hear from founding members and people across LCS’ history that help us have faith in this cultural and societal moment, as we envision LCS for future generations.
