On November 3, LCS hosted its first volleyball seniors night since the fall season of 2019. Our Lightning welcomed the MEI Eagles to play both the senior girls team and our senior boys. We are so thankful to be hosting community athletics again at our school after a canceled season last year. For many athletes, playing at Seniors Night in front of so many friends and family, is a highlight of their high school journey.

Seniors Night is a time honoured tradition of Lightning Athletics. It is a fun evening where we invite the community and alumni back to LCS to celebrate the character and hard work of our graduating grade 12 athletes.

JON MAYAN, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Seniors Night is an annual event at LCS and is an opportunity to invite the community and alumni back in to watch outstanding volleyball and to celebrate our graduating athletes who are playing out their final seasons in the sport they love and have worked so hard to improve in over their 5 years of high school. In the intermission between the girls match and boys match, senior coaches Bryndon Mactavish (boys), and MJ Visscher and Jodi Horak (girls) had the opportunity to encourage each of their grade 12 athletes.
