School Sport is Back in September! With positive news of the restart of community sport over the summer, we are poised to relaunch Lightning Athletics the first week back in September. It has been a long hiatus and it will be an absolute joy to have our fields of play rocking with competition and once again, have our greater LCS community together to enjoy and celebrate sport. Excitement is building as we are planning tournaments, mapping out season calendars and scheduling road trips. To name just a few, LCS is hosting our annual Grade 8 Lightning Spike tournament. We anticipate over 12 different schools playing at all 3 campus gyms on October 1-2. Our Junior Boys and Girls volleyball teams will once again be heading up to Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops for the Wolfpack Junior Howler. Our Senior Boys soccer team will hit the pitch and head to Campbell River for their annual road trip.
Not only is spirited competition on the horizon, but our student-athletes will be outfitted with new Lightning athletics uniforms and gear across all sports. Our uniforms design, even beginning in our elementary athletes, feature common Lightning elements and ‘striking’ gradients of green! We cannot wait to fill our Instagram feed with live action shots of all of our teams and athletes repping the Lightning green in style to restart school sports.
