The 2017 LCS Dinner + Auction

Our Story, God's Glory, our school theme for this year, focuses on the beauty of our individual stories and how each one plays a greater part in God's larger story.  This certainly rings true for Langley Christian School as we recently celebrated our 60th Anniversary as a school.  This milestone would not have been achieved without a culmination of stories coming together to weave a beautiful legacy.  Our goal at Langley Christian is to ensure that each student knows that their story is important, and that together we are all a part of something larger that just ourselves. 

We would like to invite you to join us in being a part of the greater LCS story by participating in one of our largest community events of the year. On Saturday, February 18th, we will host our Annual LCS Dinner + Auction. In order for this event to be a success we are looking for donations of goods and/or services.  We are also looking for desserts and volunteers!

Every year the LCS Dinner + Auction is attended by over 300 LCS family, friends, alumni and staff. Last year we raised a record setting $43,000! This year, funds raised will be divided; our school community has been directly touched by ALS, as such, we have chosen to donate 10% of all proceeds from this event to the ALS Society of BC. One-third of remaining monies will go directly towards sound and media upgrades for chapels and larger community gatherings at our campuses.  The other two-thirds will be directed towards our "Get on the Bus" campaign to purchase a second school bus to be used by all Langley Christian School students.

We are looking for donations of goods/services that can be auctioned off during our live and silent auctions.  If you are an artisan, a small business owner, or perhaps you know a business interested in donating to this event please contact the Development Office.

The very successful Dessert Dash is happening again! To make this a success we need 35 desserts that serve eight people.  Pie, cheesecake, cake, cupcakes, tarts, trifle, the list is endless...

We need help in a variety of areas: picking up donations, putting class baskets together, decorating dinner tables, the foyer and stage, setting up the live and silent auction items at Southridge Church on Friday and Saturday, recording sales and helping signing in and out at the auction. Please sign up where bests suits you, your help is much appreciated!

Monetary donations can also be made to this event and we will gladly do the shopping for you!  Please identify on your donation that it should be directed to "LCS Auction" - tax receipts will be provided for those donations over $50 with a complete name and address.  Donations will be tax receipted for the 2017 calendar year.
